Wintermist's April Sunglow
"April"
April is the newest addition to Kelviden Farm. I have no idea what I thought I needed another 12 hand pony for....but just look at that face. I had a pony when I was a kid who was chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail. Maybe that was it. I got April from my friend Dana Schaefer. I had gone to Dana's looking for a Thoroughbred. I barely even looked at April, but her little face just haunted me in the days to come. She just had the most adorable little dished face and these big brown eyes.
I don't know what April's future here will be. I'd love it if she wanted to be a wonderful little walk trot pony. Right now she's got a little fire though. She is fondly described as "Spunky" by the kid who has been riding her. She seems awfully intelligent though, and she just wants some love. I think she'll get the hang of it soon.
Truthfully though, part of me doesn't want her to be a good lesson pony because I think she and Jasper would have the most gorgeous foals. Maybe she can be a part time mom! I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But for now I just like the fact that I can look out my bedroom window and see this adorable little pony!
