"Holly" as we affectionately call her came to Kelviden Farm in January of 1999.  She was not yet three years old.  I went to visit Glenda Armstrong's Glynhafan Farm and absolutely fell in love with this little inquisitive pony.  I needed another pony like I needed a hole in the head!!  However, I was so intrigued by her incredibly sweet eyes and extremely friendly personality.  She followed me to the gate almost daring me to leave her behind.  Finally,  I asked if I could at least see her move.  Glenda had one of her kids jog her across the parking lot.  It was icy and uneven and I only saw about three steps.  My jaw hit the floor and I loaded her on the trailer and brought her home that very day.  And the rest as they say is history!Hollyfence2small.jpg (30558 bytes)

We only took her to two shows that first year.  I had two three year olds that summer and we decided to teach them to jump together.  Unfortunately "Holly" developed a rash that made putting a girth on her seem cruel and unnecessary.  We gave her about two months off.  I was very frustrated as this meant she would be behind the other pony in her training.  However "Holly" would have nothing of the sort.  We started her training again that Fall and I could swear that she had been watching the other ponies training and taking notes.  She was a pro right from day one.

Hollyfencesmall.jpg (21269 bytes)        None of my students like to take lessons with the girl that shows "Holly" for
me.  They claim they get sick of listening to my repeated cry of "She's SOOOOO        Cute".  But I have to say.... I love this pony.  I've never known a pony that tried so
hard and wanted so much to please you.  I hate to sell her, and I'm trying anything to
be able to keep her.  I just feel she deserves that love and attention of one little girl.  Sh has so much love to give and she deserves that love right back!

Well Holly found herself a new home.  I am heart broken and incredibly happy all at once.  Sometimes, things are just meant to be!  Little nine year old Katherine Mirabito, is now the proud owner of the sweetest pony I've ever known!  I have every bit of confidence in her though and I'm sure she will love this pony as much as Holly deserves to be loved!  Good luck Katherine!!
